Registration Fees (JPY)
The deadline for Registration submission has passed.

Presenting (=first) Author from developing countries are entitled to a reduction on the participation fee.

"Developing countries" are defined as those countries whose gross national per capita income (according to the World Bank database issued July 1, 2008) falls below U.S. $3,706. For further information, please see here.

Registration for the reception has been closed as applicants have reached the fixed number. (There will also be no on-site registration for the registration.)

• Please select your Registration Category in the Meeting in accordance with what your status will be at the time the Meeting is held (September 16-18, 2009).
  
• You may be able to charge your registration fee to grants (Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research, etc.), when you present the research results supported by them at Neuroscience2009. Please consult with your administrative officers for procedures.

*1 For postgraduate student participants

• If you are a member of the Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS), please enter your membership number in the registration screen.
  
• If you are not a member of the society, please print out a fax form when you register online and fax the form and a copy of your student ID to Neuroscience2009 secretariat (fax # +81-52-950-3370).
  
• If you register on site, please show your student ID at the reception desk.
  

*2 For undergraduate student participants

If you are not a presenting (=first) author of an abstract, the registration fee is free of charge. Please identify yourself by showing your student ID at the reception desk and you will receive a student name card.
Advance registration and fee payment (JPY1,000) are required for those who are presenting (=first) authors.

*3 Neuroscience Research Supplement charge

Abstracts will be published in a Supplement to Neuroscience Research (Elsevier).The first/presenting author is requested to pay an additional JPY 4,000. When you complete advance registration as a JNS member, if you select "Submit Abstract" the Supplement publication charge is automatically added, so please make this payment together with your registration fee. A copy of Neuroscience Research Supplement will be sent to the registered address for correspondence after the end of the Meeting. Those other than the first/presenting author wishing to purchase Neuroscience Research Supplement should apply at the meeting (JPY 4,000). A copy will be sent after the meeting.

*4 Reception (NeuroSocial)

This reception offers the opportunity for promising undergraduate, graduate students and post docs to meet with leading researchers in a friendly atmosphere. You may even have a chance to discuss with the plenary lecturers and symposium speakers there. Do not miss this opportunity.

 

To be able to immediately get into the scientific sessions avoiding possible waiting at the registration desk, please register in advance on line. Also, the registration fees are cheaper for the advance registration than on-site registration.

Registration deadline has been extended to noon, Friday, July 31, 2009. (JST; GMT+9)

• We accept credit card for payment. Payment can also be made by postal-transfer or at convenience stores domestically.
  
• After you have completed advance registration, a Registration ID and password will be issued. You will need these to confirm or amend the details of your registration. Be sure to keep them safe.
  
• Browsers: Netscape 6.0 and above, Internet Explorer 5.5 and above for Windows users; Safari 1.2 and above, Netscape 6.0 and above for Mac OS X users; Netscape 6.0 and above, Internet Explorer 5.0 and above for Mac OS 9.2 or older version users.
  
• Enter your membership number. This is shown as 10 digits on any envelope from the Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS).
  
• For those who are currently applying for membership and submit an abstract, choose "applying" and leave the membership number box blank. Nonmember symposium speakers choose "nonmember symposium participant" and leave it blank in membership box.
  
• When you choose member/nonmember, general/student, yes/no to Reception (NeuroSocial) participation, and also yes/no to abstract submission at online registration, your payment will be automatically summed up. Once you choose a method of payment (by credit card, bank-transfer (domestically only), postal-transfer (domestically only), or at convenience store (domestically only)) and your registration is completed, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your submission. Your prompt payment is greatly appreciated.
